Journalist: U.S. Should 'Rape' Israel

Haaretz is one of the few great, wonderful and brave things in Israel.

It says things that have to be said. It permits others to do the same, and to argue with it and challenge its writers. It is a magnificent force for freedom of speech and democracy.

Today, on its Talkback pages it permitted a reader to fulminate against its Editor in Chief for making the comments he did.

God bless Haaretz - may it endure and prosper.
