Universal Health Care

1. Cover everyone.
2. Reduce health care spending to 10% of GDP.

Fiscal & Tax Policy
1. Eliminate federal deficit.
2. Find ways to increase personal savings rate to 4%.
3. Reform Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid.
4. Carbon tax to address energy independence and global warming.

Global Competitiveness

1. Comprehensive energy policy
2. Large public investment in technology R&D.
3. Large public investment to fix nation's infrastructure.
4. Universal pre-school. Universal teacher merit-pay.
5. Set national goals for science and engineering degrees.

Foreign Policy
1. Iraq: Get out as soon as possible.
2. Afghanistan: Reduce Taliban threat. Turn over to NATO.
3. Focus on diplomacy, co-operation, strengthening alliances.

Reduce Government Corruption

1. Publicly financed national elections. Free TV air time for candidates.
2. Term limits on U.S. Senators and U.S. Congressmen.
3. U.S. Senators and U.S. Congressmen must wait 4 years before becoming lobbyists.

Help The Working Poor
