Quite a thoughtful piece. I find myself appreciating the reviewer's capture of the rough and tumble of "racial" politics. I am outside of the interior intellegensian argument, being non-black, but believe myself sensitive to the struggle for a "new politics," whose success seems so thwarted because of an entrenched leadership. A brave review of a brave book?
