Yes, people do care about how the animals they eat are treated. However, even Mr Mosner is unwilling to take a stand and say that the "other way" isn't compassionate and in fact he defends those who use these extremely torturous methods as "caring people." That he considers his method a "better story to sell for people who have these issues" really puts a bad taste in my mouth. "Caring people" are not those who produce veal; they are those who care about others, including animals. We do not have "issues" but I dare say those who can use factory farming methods and slaughterhouse methods to produce meat are the ones that have issues. When these things make us cringe, it speaks well of us. I'd rather not get over this, thanks.
