Sir,

It is people like you who make comments like this that really sets the fairness scale of children and adults with "true" learning disabilities back!!! How dare you classify all people with learning disabilities as "lazy"! Just because your son was lazy please do not condemn all hard working intelliegent people with learning disabilities as such! My daughter happens to be dyslexic and she is one of the most hard working students that I have ever seen (as her teachers strongly agree). You see the true dyslexic is almost always above average in intelligence, as proven by the administration of IQ tests, but the way that they process information is mostly visual as oppossed to auditory. I have 2 bright children; one with dyslexic and the other without and let me tell you that they both work equally hard. The huge difference is that they learn in different ways. The way that the public school system teaches my son is adequate, the way that the public school teaches my daughter is extremely inadequate. Now do you really want to put this negetive spin on this issue and cause children with learning disabilities extreme stress and a huge concern for their future by not being able to compete fairly? That dear sir, is your choice; I truly hope that you take the time to get to know someone who truly has learning disabilities so that you can become an advocate instead of a hinderence.
