Along with a declining standard of living from the falling dollar Americans can expect to pay more for all imports of international commodities such as fuel & food and expect even more increases in competetion at home in America from foreigners moving here to spend their accumulated dollars (if your foreign neighbors don't want them then you can always spend them in America).
The RE guy who expects a decline in US sales of RE to foreigners is dead wrong, as the dollar loses value abroad the more attractive spending it in America becomes, if you can't spend your millions of US dollars in country X you can always spend them in America. America is still a country where foreigners are allowed to make investments & reap profits-unlike many foreign countries.
Unfortuantely with millions of new voting immigrants not paying taxes & consuming revenues our ability to allow foreigners to reap profits here may be seriously curtailed by "taxing voting mobs" in the very near future.
If I were a foreign US invester Hillarycare and our unfunded pension & healthcare liabilities would scare the crap out of me, I'd be diversifying assets into less bankrupt regions, you wouldn't want to be the last foreign investor stuck with confiscatory exit taxes or even heaven forbid outright confiscatory taxes with not only take 100% of your principal but also an eveer bigger cut of you assets.
Who wants to be a "donor investor" with all their assets served up the mob for taking? (all legal of course)
