I agree that anglo soccer is somewhat unimaginative and the U.S. is too enamored of the anglos (it must be because it is the least foreign of the foreign languages. I have something sad to consider. i asked a travel team coach from Westchester (an anglo second division player) which must have given him some kind of obscure credibility, the following question. How many of these select team players watch FSC soccer on T.V. in order to learn from the best. He said about 1/2 of the boys and even fewer of the girls. having watched the pathetic exhibition of womens college soccer in the U.S. this past year (as well as the national team) it explains to some degree whyt the level of play in the U.S. is so abysmal. the easiest way to play well is to emulate the best. listening to your coach nis not enough.
