I am soon to be a grandmother for the first time and am expecting a grandson of my own in February. I will keep this poor family forever in my prayers. My daughter and son in law own a very friendly Airdale who happens to be a show dog. I believe this can sometimes be deceiving when a dog is friendly. A dog is like a child and can kill a baby accidently. I don't know what happened in this past tragedy. I only know a child of this age should be at a safe level away from All dogs. Further I believe all children until seven years of age should not be left unattended to play with their dogs. Many dogs have a maternal instinct and can kill or severely injure a child when they think they are coddling or protecting them. Please pray for this poor family and please bring more attention to this so that other tradgedies can be averted...
