A Dying Breed of Crooners

I really enjoyed your December 26, 2007 New York Sun article "A Dying Breed of Crooners", and enjoyed reading the recognition you gave to Kathleen Landis. I am a music fan who will never forget the music and dance routines created by Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers in their many movies, or Angela Lansbury's creation of Mame at the Winter Garden. Miss Landis re-created these musical classics at the Café Pierre with a unique blend of piano, voice, and personality that is also classic. To an infrequent New York visitor, Miss Landis renews my image of this fantastic city as the capital of live music performances. I look forward to seeing Miss Landis again as an enduring fixture of New York nightlife.
