Texas Challenges City on Math Curriculum

As a parent of a freshman in high school now I have to respond to this article. If you want your child to be lost in math, than continue with the Everyday Mathmatics program. It took three years of unlearning in middle school to catch him up to where he should be in math. He is now thriving, and yes they teach it the old way in middle school and high school. I am all for new ways of teaching if they have a positive outcome.
