in response to reader comment: Hillary's independent contribution to N.Ireland peace process within the community

Submitted by Jim Fay, Jan 10, 2008 08:56

Unfortunately, the Clinton Machine has influenced the Irish press to the point of believing anything that "Clinton, Inc." tells them.

This so-called influence to the Irish peace situation by Mrs. Clinton has been talked about in the Press in the United States, but only in the asking the question, "If she did such an important job over there, why isn't she talking about it, and why didn't she put it in her book?"

Mrs. Clinton has been mysteriously silent on her Irish exploits while campaigning, and failed to even mention them in her book, "Living History." Apparently that part of her history, if it happened at all, she seems to want to forget.

The same questions are being asked in the Press here about her claim of "experience." While she harps on having such vast experience in world affairs, it's interesting to note that at no time did she have any high security clearance to access the information required to have such an influence. But, more importantly, she has danced around releasing any and all of her papers which sit un-viewed in the Clinton Library which would, if true, verify and justify her claim of "experience." When challenged by the US press corps about her White House papers, she blames Bill. And on the other hand Bill (always passing the buck) immediately blames the Clinton Library archivist for delaying the processing of these papers. We go around and around on this issue time and time again, and the American people are being short-changed on it.

It's clear to level-headed, pragmatic voters in the United States that, were these papers to show that Mrs. Clinton was, indeed, influential and experienced in world affairs, they would be release immediately upon announcing her candidacy last year in order to support her claims. But they have not, and apparently, will not.

The Clinton candidacy is being looked at as a facade just to increase Bill Clinton's lost influence on the public stage. We had eight years of their shenanigans, and we would like to forget them.
