In 1957, 300 MDs and dentists had their names published in your newspaper in protest of water fluoridation. Today, on Fluoride Action Network another nearly-1300 have signed on to a similar protest of fluoridation. From the litany of published science, here is yet another good reason to cease fluoridation: Advances in Dental Research 8(1);5-14, June, 1994 "Intake and Metabolism of Fluoride" "Overall, an average of 86.8% of the dose was retained by the infants, which is about 50% higher than would be expected for adults. They concluded that "…the pharmacokinetics of fluoride in infants reveal(s) a completely different pattern compared to what has been found in adults." There is a clear need for more information about the renal handling and general metabolism of fluoride in young children and the elderly."
