Many need to make sure they pick situations that suit their learning needs. Example, Adu is more technical and seems to want to play that way. A league like Spain may be better than maybe England (though i think he'd be fine) or the MLS where he may not have the support to play a technical brand. Kinda like picking a college. You gotta get the right fit. Then you need to earn your spot. Like Bradley said. It won't be given to you. On the other hand in MLS you've got lot's of GMs and coaches who idea of judging a player doesn't extend past "he's big." And so they have no understanding of how to play a technical attacking game or utilize and nuture young talent that is more then just a big body but rather lots of skill.
