Convicted Felon Tests Second Amendment
in response to reader comment: I'm A Felon.

Yes, it happens to al of us. At some point most ifnot all should have been labeled as "felons" because we have all done things that would be concidered felonies. Those of you that were lucky just haven't gotten caught or knew some one who knew someone to get you off the hook. You don't think so?? ever written a hot check? ever been talking on the cell & forgott to pay for the gas?? ANd, just how many times have you left the bar after a "FEW" and drove home? Just got lucky you didn't kill some child in an accident. it can only take a second to cause an accident that ends a life. To become a FELON it only takes a second. It happened to me @ 17. When I was 17 I bought a few items from one of my sister's friends that needed some car parts repaired. few weeks later I was short cash & decided to take the items to the pawn shop. Total pawn offer was less than $700.00 When the pawn shop found some of the items had bee reported stolen, I was charged with the felony for possesion of the items & when these friends moved from town & I made my court date possesion was changed to Burglary. After 16 years, buying my own home, maintaining the same job for 7 years I am still viewed as nothing more than a FELON that became from a common mistake TRUST of others. No that FRIEND of my sister's who I have served 7years for & ruined my life & reputation calls me a felon. WHY?? Because he can\Because he didn't get caught. I happened to me, it could have happen to you & can happen to your children. 1 second, 1 decision & i'm paying for it several years even after I have been completely released from all probations\paroles & supervisions. Would it be asking too much to allow me gun rights? Non-violent crime, time served, all penalties paid? Why can I not go on Hunting trips with my family?
