Ignoring the Dragon

I'm just an ignorant retired firefighter, but I find this article somewhat amusing, if the situation weren't so sad. In my ignorance, it seems to me that our government should 1. protect our country (this includes our border laws) 2. Provide basic laws (basic is the key word) 3. Leave most of the governing to the people at as low a level in government as possible 4. Stay out of the way of private enterprise.

Our federal government has it's ever expaning number of hands in everything it can think of. The fed's maneuvering is what has helped bring us to the sate we find ourselves. Over the years corporate greed running our country has influenced our "bought and paid for" elected officials to provide tax incentives for our factories to move out of the country. Corporations have had their way with our country time after time. The people, living lives of relative ease, have let the government run rampant with it's rule. Now we are paying & Mr. John Tamny expresses the view that the 'feds" can fix things. It's too bad, but I think not. Somebody has to pay. Too bad it's going to be the American people & not the self serving CEO's and the bought and paid for politicians.
