the problem of heritage conservation is much more complex and loosely depends on people. Greece, egypt, italy, cina, spain, ... all the big historical nations have same problems, it is not (only) a matter of "box in the basement of a provincial museum". Only not to mention that american institution are so interested in recovering masterpieces from all the world (for make money, obviously) but are so lazy on saving and promoting YOUR past: where are the big exibitions about american natives "seen by hundreds of thousands, studied by thousands of students, both undergraduate and post graduate, that has spread the fame of natives far and wide, and has made everyone happy."?
