I don't see anything wrong as long as you do your duty of really assessing some one. According to me the politicians are in fact doing the same thing under the cover of law and privacy by instructing what others wouldn't even have a clue. If any one closely watches a politician and writes where he acted how would you really feel it encouraging or discouraging. In this case I admire the author / professor who took so much of risk with his personal and social life.
