I have news for those who think it took LBJ to get civil rights legislation passed. It was GOING TO HAPPEN, sooner or later, whether Johnson had gotten it done or not. Sure, whoever got it passed deserves great credit, but it was only a matter of time before the people whom Dr. King so courageously awakened made certain that it did.
