Cuomo Stands Alone on 2nd Amendment

The whole crux of this issue is that like all Liberals, he want's to tell us we have a Bill of Rights - but when it comes to the 2nd Amendment, we should all turn 180 degrees and call it a "collective right" of States to arm their miilitias. Only Problem: There is no such right. The State Police and National Guard are specially provided for as "Standing Armies" not militias. The militia was origianally defined as all men between the ages of 17 and 44. It was then ratified to include the whole of the citizenry. This is all in the Federalist Papers - something neither Cuomo will ever read.

Another thing, imagine this scenario: "Al, we're sending you to Iraq tomorrow - but don't worry; we'll be giving you an M16: You have the right to keep and bear arms". Why would anyone need a "right:" to bear arms, when the government at gunpoint is going to make him do it anyway? Am I supposed to believe that makes any sense?
