It is clear there is no love lost between Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama. The love between Edwards and Clinton is even less. The possibility of Clinton teaming up with either of these two is a fantasy. Look to Hillary if she gets the nomination to turn to former Sen. Bob Kerrey, Sen. Evan Bayh or Gov. Phil Bredesen of Tennessee.
It is very likely that Obama would tap Edwards to be his runningmate. Edwards could play very well in some states in the South and Midwest. Before someone starts pontificating about how Edwards didn't win states for Kerry in the South last election, this time is very different. First, the Kerry campaign officials didn't campaign in the south - Obama and Edwards have repeatedly stated that they will campaign in red states and blue states and that strategy might be effective for Democrats since Obama and Edwards do well among independents. Secondly, Edwards could pull Midwest and Southern states because Kerry is not the nominee...let's be honest the tax and spend Massachusetts liberal stigmatism hurt the Kerry-Edwards ticket not to mention Kerry was a poor candidate. This would be a sure bet for the Democrats to regain the White House.
Mark Warner former Governor of Virgnia would be another excellent VP pick. He's won in the South repeatedly and still remains very popular in the state.
