As much as I like Mayor Bloomberg as a person, he has done nothing to combat the true problems our city faces. Instead he's suggested a tolling station in Midtown Manhattan! There is enough money to go around in the city if the govt would stop wasting it!
Maybe once he has proven he can stand up to the government sanctioned MTA and ConEdison monopolies, then we'll see. In the meantime, it is impossible to find a decent apartment because of rent control, young black men are being shot on a regular basis because of unconstitutional and racist gun laws (since when did "i thought he had a gun" become any sort of an excuse for a police officer to fire on a civilian?) and taxes are insane! Bloomberg as president? I wouldn't elect him "class treasurer".
The city's wellbeing cannot be measured in tax revenue.
