Dear Mr. Wolf, et al.:
Your point of broader education of would be teachers is of great import. In fact, such students' college curricula should be truly academic--at least for the first three years. Then, perhaps in the last undergraduate year--"teaching techniques" should be focused upon. Knowledge is most important, so as to stimulate the mind of the young enthusiast - pupil. Notwithstanding that delivery is vital; our children need to find excitement in learning, rather than lulling their budding brains to sleep with non-productive activity (or passivity).
