So much of the garbage cloggin up our rights is legislated from the viewpoint that if the congress can get the screaming fearful to shut up, then they have a better day. But our constitution does not mention freedom from fear. We do however, have implied in it the methods to act on it when those fears turn into genuine threats. If we are not free to defend ourselves, we are only free to be murdered. That is not free in the least. A better law would be- Self Control laws: hurt someone deliberately, by any method, using any implement or artifact, or law, and you will be severely punished. So Simple- but the obfuscationist confusionists want more power and making the law simple would rob them of their evil desires. We must make them fear for being so evil.
