Tort Lawsuits Soar Over Subprime Lending
in response to reader comment: Credit 101 to bankers

I believe that the investment firms investing in or distributing (Mutual Funds) that contained sub-prime loan securities but were rated at Investment grade securities, should be sued on behalf of the shareholders. The Investment grade bond market has been hammered by the fallout of the subprime mortgage debacle. It has caught a lot of investors by surprise to find that their "safe bond portfolio's" are not so safe after all. I think some people need to go to jail on this one. Enron is a walk in the park compared to this financial crisis.
