Thankyou, Lord Black, for your fine article. Accurate and wise. If anyone takes the time to objectively go over the record of Senator John McCain, they will find a straight shooter in fact and not just by temporary talk. His interviews and speeches (like for the Churchill Club) reveal an impeccable honesty, as he records it as essential to Annapolis honor to speak the truth about the global scenarios that are and might arrive at the doorstep of the civilized world. My father, Eldon M Woolliams, was this way in Canada as a Tory MP that went unrewarded. But we cannot let things be personal, and I note that you, with grace, do not. "It the office is seeking anyone, it is John McCain." Ultimately, it isn't about John McCain, as you infer; it is about the survival of all that we hold dear. As when Lord Kitchener deferred in that solemn hour before his king, I am so glad that you and I, and countless others hope that the summons will come for presidential service to the sterling senator from Arizona, John McCain. And may grace and compassion follow you as well , Lord Black, for your fraternal magnanimity to Mac.
