Menace to the Times

Submitted by John Spencer Yantiss, Jan 21, 2008 11:58

One of THE major problems with the times, these times in which we live, is indeed the Times, to wit, the New York Times. Perhaps at some point in the distant past, the New York Times did in fact print "all the news that's fit to print," but if it did so, that is SO far in the past as to be fodder for a history book, not a news paper. Thank God for the New York Sun, the only mature voice calling the NYT to account. That once venerable rag/wrag, the NYT, is little more than a soap box for anti-democratic (not Democrat), anti-free enterprise, well, anti-American ranting and distortion. "News" is supposed to be--in a free society--reported accurately and objectively, after checking those nagging things called facts. The Times seems to have decided some years ago to manufacture short stories BASED on real events, but not the events themselves.
