Arabian Oil Tsar to President Bush: 'Get Lost'

Submitted by John Spencer Yantiss, Jan 21, 2008 14:21

Why do some adults throw tantrums? Because they learned as children (from spineless parents) that when they threw tantrums they got what they wanted. The same thing is true of the Saudis, who did not even have a country until the British and their partners in the Mandate, following WWI, created Saudi Arabia, along with Iraq, and all the other Arab "nations." Auda abu Tayi, a real-life Bedouin chiefton, made famous in the West through his portrayal by Anthony Quinn, in the movie Lawrence of Arabia, put it best when he said, "Of the Harith I have heard. The Howitat I know. But who are the Arabs? I know of no tribe called 'Arab.'"

The Saudis have been getting whatever they wanted, for so many years, no matter what they themselves did; of COURSE it made sense to them. They know that no one is going to stand up to them--except another Arab, i.e. Saddam, who does not need their oil.
