The NYT story on unhinged vets is a clear attempt to discredit US foreign and military policy by portraying Iraq and Afghanistan veterans as a clear menace to their communities.
I believe that this is sound basis for a class action suit against the Gray Slattern for defamation by all Iraq and Afghanistan veterans. Certainly, potential damages could run into the hundreds of billions.
The trial bar certainly has put forth successfully far more meritless actions. Just ask John Edwards.
