Waterfalls as Art To Be Installed in East River

Submitted by Scott Danielson AIA, Jan 22, 2008 12:08

The Brooklyn bridge is not a "backdrop" for some artist to get his jollies off. Have we lost all sensibility to what art and civic enhancement is about?

And what about sustainability - how much energy will this fluid failure use? How soon will it be dismantled? If not cancelled all together, then at the VERY LEAST, the WaterFailure should be moved up or down River to a free-standing location where it can't bask in the glory of real Art.
