Why has this come as a surprise? The media has known of Obama's church but wanted rid of the Clintons.

Mr. Halkin, if you were threatened by the Clintons and your bosses, wouldn't you go along with them all in order to keep your job and be invited to the same cocktail parties? Look what happened to Tim Russert, Wolf Blitzer, Chris Matthews. Don't you think that some of the reporters would have been able to put this on the front page of their newspapers if they didn't fear the Clintons so much?

The Clinton machine has them all afraid just as all the reporters sat in Arkansas and knew about the "Bimbos" of Bill Clinton and never reported it. Chris Matthews was the one that told that story on televison. He said they sat in the bar and laughed at the shennanagans of Bill but wanted George Herbert Bush less.

Now, they want Hillary Clinton and her Boss, Bill Clinton less. Out of sight and not being threatened anymore and able to report and act like true journalists, if they ever were before. They all know that their credibility is gone. Thus, they have been silent about the church that Obama has belonged to for years.
