Beacon's Cuba Trips Spark Federal Probe

Submitted by John McAuliff, Jan 23, 2008 10:23

Beacon faculty, students and families are to be congratulaqted for their defense of a fundamental riight of Americans to travel anyplace in the world.

Two-thirds of Americans want to normalize relations with Cuba, including ending travel restrictions.

According to a recent report by the Government Accounting Office, "estimates of the number of unauthorized travelers to Cuba transiting third countries to to enter Cuba exceed 120,000 annually."

We need a change in policy, not a frivolous investigation.
