This is more like a news item than a review. Review the performance? Hey, the contents of the program weren't even identified! I was there, enjoying every moment, especially the familiar Schubert. The NY Times' review was all history and nothing about the performance--well, maybe an epithet or two about the singers. No "Three Tenors" here. Each is unique in voice and personality. The Tenors were tenors. The Lieder singers were British Oxonian Bostridge, German prima donna Roeschmann and bass-baritone Quasthoff, a giant on today's music scene. Give 'em a little credit, huh? .
