President Clinton: Senator's 'Designated Hitter'

Submitted by Mark, Jan 23, 2008 17:49

I find it curious that Mr. Obama had no problems with Senator Clinton when he was not being approached on his voting record and stands on particular issues in the fall. He remained silent while the press pursued Senator Clinton with unabandonment. It was only when he started to get negative press that Mr. Obama suddenly had a probelm with Senator Clinton and her HUSBAND.

In the last debate his answer for why he voted "Present" but not For or Against dozens of pieces of legislation didn't set well with me. While Mr. Obama is a great speaker, words alone will not accomplish what the nation needs to have done next January.

Finally, the race issue being discussed is EXACTLY what the Republicans want the Democrats to talk about. They don't want the real issues debated I am hopeful americans will remember the issues and not the same old scare tactics and racial issues the Republicans are so good at presenting.
