Pet-Renting Concept Termed 'Shocking'

Submitted by Maverick, Jan 23, 2008 19:28

At the outset I must admit that this is a very novel concept , with every new dimension to our society we have a bunch of critics . In my opinion this is a revolution to having pets but can't afford to have them for various reasons Viz. No Pets Clause , Space , Time etc . We must understand that animals have their intelligence too . Drawing an Analogy is that how many parents we have who drop their kids off at a day care centre ? it's pretty much the same . Day Care , unfamiliar faces ?unfamiliar environment ? what impact does it have on the child ?? Well when it comes to that people look the other way , would it be hypocrisy ?? As for pets its pretty much similar , in fact as somebody mentioned the pets are taken out cos. The family has "made time' for the pet and when they pay something for it they are not going to leave it their backyard for 3 days as a piece of their garden . In fact the food is the same , so the animal ascertains that its not a totally new environment . the Dog handlers who know the dog bring the dog around , same bed , bowl , food . leash . So its kinda familiar territory . And as common sense would prevail , the next time the family decides to rent a pet , they will in most cases have the same dog or book it well in advance for the simple reason the kids at home have developed a bond towards it . So the next time the dog comes around it's just fun and play from day one at it is excited to see them AGAIN ! It's pretty much like a nice holiday for the dog each time somebody makes TME FOR IT ! I know few families where the kids as any normal child would long for a pet , but with so many constraints its not pragmatic not to mention the commitment and the finances and above all the time needed to have a pet . In today's Jet Age , PDA's & Custody Battles , this is the way to go … If you need a representative in the land down under , you can look me up …
