Cheer Up

You are correct - there are many happy things to report.

I disagree with the wall street bonuses and million dollar manhatten homes, though. Housing has accelerated beyond the norm of affordability in most market due to real estate speculation. And while it warms my heart that wall street execs are getting bonuses that are triple a typical family's income, remember that money had to come from somewhere. I don't have the energy to try and explain it, other than tell you that wall street gets richer when average americans get poorer. Wall street execs were spending their bonus money, while average americans are spending BORROWED money. Guess who collects the interest? It's in those bonuses. It is so depressing that you don't get that.

But home prices are now coming down fast, and that is very good news. Because now people will once again buy a home to live in and not to do cash-out refinancing with.

We need to stop being a nation of borrowers.
