Why is it that we cannot see that it is not a lack of revenue that is causing us problems - It is an excess of spending. Sunset the various governmental agencies and begin to privatize much of the functions and do away with many of the functions and combine overlapping and just plain make work functions. Do away with the political appointments and make them civil service, Stand up to the unions and their featherbedding tactics. Look at the private sector and emulate their benefit programs and keep the public employees in line with those of us paying their salaries.

The real problem is the lack of backbone and will to look at the real problem because the fixing of it gores the democrat ox.
