No, McCain is not leading the Republican party off in the right direction. Through his liberal leadership in Congress (McCain/Feingold, Amnesty, voting against tax cuts, McCain/Kennedy, etc.), he has been undermining the conservative coalition. What he is doing is reforming the Republican party into the junior democrats party. If he is nominated, it is no longer my party.
