City Council Spends $1.5 Million For ‘Hip-Hop Museum' in Bronx

Submitted by ALisha Franklin, Jan 28, 2008 16:58

I feel that it is very disrespectful for someone to create an hip hop museum and not pay its respects to the ones who have carried the genre on. Yes, in the beginnning Hip-Hop was very different from what it is today but without showing where it leads to, it fails to show the impact of the MUSIC. You still have to take heed that the reason it is so world wide is due to the current status of it today. If it wasnt for those who are in the Hip Hop/Rap game today where would it stand. My words may seem so powerful but its simply because what you'll are doing in the Bronx is exactly part of my plans for my future!!!!!. I hope whomsoever reads this understands where i am coming from. IF not I will take my ideas elsewhere.. and have Mr.Simmons cut me the check!
