One only has to read Robert Coram's recent book American Patriot to get a picture of McCain and his motivations for power. Going back to Naval Academy days he barely made it graduating almost at the bottom of his class. He always played to the crowd then and still does.He has nothing to do with fellow POW'S going to one meeting in the 80's.. HE has shown his disdain to then and has lost that most sacred item that only men in combat posses the bond that keeps the sprite alive to survive. He has traded that camarada of a group of valiant warriors for the camarada of a group with the most bloated ego's in time memorial and that is the group called the U.S.Senate. He is now one of them and the strength it took for him to survive the beatings and torture to sit with one who called you a baby killer and was causing you to be getting the beatings and the torture. A very close member of my family spent six years in the same camp with McCain and I know a lot of things I won't express. How you can sit in the same room with Kerry and Kennedy proves to me and other former POW's friends of mine Torture does work and works well with McCain. Which ever way the wind blows is the direction he faces.
