Rebellion, of Sorts, Stirring at Stuyvesant High

The security might be a bit of an over kill but taken with what has been happening lately it is better to be safe than sorry. From what I've read in this article stuy consists of seniors who lives in Manhattan. If I remember correctly Stuyvesant has about 40+% Asian kids and half as many white kids. So how come I haven't seen any comments from someone who lives outside of Manhattan and/or is Asian?

Teitel is right there is a good chance that going against the school may be just a pass-time activity. I remember when the scanning system was first integrated the only ones complaining the most loudly were some of the seniors. From my own senior experience I know that most of the student who voiced against this policy were my colleagues who had 2 - 4 classes and loved to cut school.

Sure there were some kids at the student union who were genuienly concerned about the students' privileges. But everyone who has graduated from stuy knows that this is crap. There hardly was any complain from the students other than the seniors. Sure you can argue that this was because we had more time, but if the students did not like the infringement upon their privileges then they would have taken it back. We all know that stuyvesant kids would be able to acco9mplish this in one swoop.

So...seniors. Just figure out a smarter way to cut. And the rest, stop trying to stir up a pointless fight
