The Somali treat to the Ethiopian Nation would be greater when the Somalis are united. The reality in Somalia is not as nearly united. They are devided in a separated state in the North East and in many warlord political ambitions and lowless manners in the rest of the country. Meles' political interest in somalia is to divert his political problem at home and to seek more help and support from America which America is at the for front to fight terrorism world wide. If Meles would not have been deeply involved in the Somalis political affair, the Islamic movement would not have gotten stronger. Meles' involvement empowered the Islamists by a national sentments rather than by Islamic extreemism. Meles might be on the side of fighting terrorism but for sure his involvement in Somalia is more dangerous for Ethiopian security. If Meles has to fight Islamic exteemism in Somalia and in Ethiopia, first and for most, he should defuse his own political problem at home by releasing the political prisoners and calling for reconsulation. Ethiopian stability from internal political termoile will greatly help to fight all kinds of extreemism. It is high time to make peace with the Oromos and the Ethiopian Somalis which are bordering Somalia geographically and demographically. Islamic extreemism in Ethiopia is showing recently in the Southern part of the country because of Meles' political work in Somalia and in Ethiopia. Meles' political position is dangerous for Ethiopia, Somalia, East Africa and the rest of the world. Shumet
