Barack Obama decided to take on the task of getting elected to the job of being President. If he had taken a good look at elections over the past 100 years he would have seen all types of Dirty Politics. His being the first black person to run places him in the same boat with Martin Luther King - breaking a cycle. I am a white southern person and have never had a problem with a black person being elected to hold office, head up a university or hold a job in a Cabinet. What I look for is honesty, intergity and a person with a vision of what he hopes to achieve while holding the job. I think the black people of America should stop hiding behind race as a cause and start being Americans period - race should never enter the arena. Some of our finest judges, educators, policemen, soldiers, writers and ambassadors are black, but, the most important item is that they are Americans. My humble advice to Barack Obama is to be above the mud slinging, depend on honesty, intergity and faith in fellow Americans put him in office.
