What these rankings don't take into account is the disparity in enrollment in graduating classes amongst elite schools. Some of the schools have nearly 80-90 graduating seniors as opposed to 40. With the low numbers, the statistics are misleading. How many of their students who did not attend Ivy League institutions attended other stellar schools like Amherst, Stanford, Duke, Haverford, University of Chicago, Middlebury, Pomona, etc. Also, some near the top of the list are older in number of years as an institution, have a larger endowment due to their longer existence, etc. When are Americans going to stop falling prey to the absurdity of this type of thing? Anyone willing to buy into this silliness is intellectually limited to begin with and has never attended one of these schools him/herself.
