Marbury Deal Isn't Done Haunting Knicks Fans
in response to reader comment: Seriously?

1)Kidd is almost averaging a quadruple double if you count turnovers. He's also shooting terribly from the field even by his own standards and his defense is no longer elite or even good really. He's also 34. I would much, much, much rather have Harris even ignoring the age difference.

2) Stackhouse does nothing to improve the Spurs, but it doesn't seem like the Spurs way to be interested in a chucker who plays no defense, so it's probably a moot point anyway.

3) and (4) I'm a Blazers fan and I would be ok with the trade as detailed. Harris would be a big upgrade at point guard, Jack is no loss since we'd be getting a better player at his position, Frye is ok but pretty expendable in the big scheme of things (I'm guessing he'll lose most of his minutes to Greg Oden next year) and I agree with you that Outlaw is a bit overrated especially by Blazers fans who place a bit too much stock in a couple of choice "clutch" moments this year. It's been interesting watching him develop from an utterly hopeless and completely lost at all times non prospect into a useful player but I'd give him up to get Harris, no questions asked. I think this teams window is in a couple of years and Harris is young and good enough to be a big part of it. Anyway, it doesn't matter since I can't see Dallas agreeing to this trade.
