Got to give the Islamists credit....although 9/11 may have been a big mistake....to win their jihad or holy war against the West, all they have to do is let events continue unfolding as they have been and the Left, in concert with the mainstream media will win it for them; could take a number of years but they have lots of patience and demographics on their side. The only thing that can save the West now, and it would be the Islamists' biggest mistake, would be to galvanize the world against them by an apocalyptic event dwarfing 9/11, such as the detonation of a dirty bomb, radioactive or nuclear bomb or a chemical or biological attack. Don't get me wrong..I am sure not hoping or wishing for such...but honestly, do you see anything happening of late to prevent the West from steadily walking towards its own self destruction? No?....me neither.
