my parents were of immigrant families. my father went to public school. then after public around 3pm he went to the jewish school. (not a yeshiva). he than began to study in yiddish. maybe they couldnt afford the yeashiva or maybe they wanted him to assimilate faster, & sent him to both schools. but in any event the shula (yiddish school) was privately funded. so are all catholic schools & yeshivas in new york city from kindergarten to college. why is the govt paying for this arab thing? can someone answer that.
