Eli Manning's most recent comments show a mature approach and understanding of how winning is attained in the NFL. . .A quarterback, despite the obvious tendency we have to overemphasize their roles in both victory and defeat, can really only be as good as the talent around him. . .history is full of examples: Bradshaw, Aikman, Plunkett, Elway, and the like all had careers where their heights, (i.e Super Bowl wins), came when both QB and the overall team talent meshed together in harmony so each individual part worked in unison to reflect the team attitude and goals and shy away from individual selfish play and attitudes. . .as a fan of the league, one really cant ask for much more than that. . . now if the can trade Shockey perhaps we can see Eli grow like his older brother has. . . The Pats will be back. . .Belichicks' loss will prove to be the GREATEST motivation he can ever imagine. . . Super Bowl XLII is the perfect example of why we Americans love the NFL so much. . . good to finally have a personal reference when Super Bowl III upset talk comes up. .
