In the US for an adoption you need an adoption agency, social workers, office workers,immigration staff, court staff etc.. Yes, they all get paid for doing an international adoption. even the US immgiration milks you $800 plus to help an orphan! So what happens when the adoptions decrease? Hmm more economic loss.....

In Guatemala: Hotel workers, resturants, courts, social wokers, YES US EMBASSY personal, caretakers, foster mothers, orphanages. ALL SUFFER. NO MORE JOBS in these fields. Does the US embassy who fought so hard to stop adoptions realize that they will NOT need an adoption unit in Guatemala? Hmm guess not.

Ask yourself these questions

Do you think Guatemala can care for these children?

Do you think the economy will get better in Guatemala because adoptions stop?

Who will feed the children?

Where will the children go?

What do you think a private domestic adoption costs? I know! been there $30K and up!

Ok what about surrogacy? $50K and up and who is renting a womb?

Give me a break!
