GOP Lawmakers Seek To Toughen State's Stance on Paroling Inmates

Submitted by FJ Robinson, Feb 6, 2008 17:27

Once again I find it unfortunate that elected officials are seeking to hold onto political positions by attempting to keep in prison those men who have successfully fulfilled their obligations to the crimes committed. As a person sentenced to life, and forced to go before five parole boards before being found eligible for release, I understand how discouraging it can become for someone fighting against the virus within the prisons, that seem to corrupt so many, changing how they view themselves and this world, to only learn that political officials continue to view them as the negative factor which they once were. The new parole system implemented under our present Gorvernor is working well.
