Spitzer Is Set To Cap Taxes on Property

Submitted by David, Feb 9, 2008 12:43

I have seen my taxes double from thrity six hundred to seventy three hundred. My income is only 40k a year. The new tax bill is unpayable. I have no kids and don't receive any direct house related benefits. It is heart breaking when the government takes your home from you by imposing an unapayable tax. I have urged my nieces and nephews to leave New York. There is no future here. I don't know why this is tolerated.
